Atria Recruits Advisors Who Oversaw $1.1 Billion at Signature Bank

Atria Wealth Solutions recruited a wealth management team that previously managed nearly $1.1 billion at Signature Bank, now part of Flagstar Bank.

The team, which includes advisors Edwin Milner, Laura Palacios and Jason Kurz, joined American Investment Planners, an existing independent practice affiliated with Atria subsidiary Cadaret Grant. The team is based in Jericho, Long Island, a suburb of New York. The group provides financial planning, retirement and private wealth management services to high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and foundations.

Signature Bank collapsed earlier this year amid turmoil in the regional banking sector. Much of its assets were acquired by Flagstar Bank, a subsidiary of New York Community Bancorp (ticker: NYCB).

Palacios said they made the move to offer clients access to “more robust investment solutions and better technology.”
